Installing a Phone Mount Bracket

If you decide to install a phone mount bracket in your car, choose a product that allows for installation without damaging the car's interior. In the past, for older car phones, brackets were usually mounted externally on the center console, leaving drill marks upon removal. Currently, there are mounts specific to the make and model of the vehicle that use existing screws for installation. In the case of the BMW 3 Series, the bracket is secured under the controls of the radio: simply disconnect the climate control buttons and the trim around the radio to attach the bracket.
