Applying Protective Wax to the Body

Model: BMW Serie 3 E91, E90, E92 - Years 2005-2013
Part: Checks and maintenance

Applying protective wax to the body is an excellent solution to preserve the shine of the paint over time and should be done at least annually. There are many good products available, and the application technique is generally the same for all. First, ensure that the body is clean and cool (avoid applying wax to a hot body).
Apply the wax using cotton or the special applicator pads typically included with the wax; wait a few minutes until a dull film forms and remove it using a microfiber cloth. It is suggested to work on one section at a time rather than applying wax to the entire body and then removing it: excessive drying may make removal difficult.

How to Remove the Dome Light in a Mercedes C-Class

In this video, see how to replace the bulb or LED in the dome light of a Mercedes C-Class. Using a screwdriver or plastic trim tool, pry between the dome light cover and its perimeter (without breaking the plastic), remove the grille from the dome light, and then take out the clear plastic cover. Replace the damaged bulb with a new one (same size and voltage). Reinstall the plastic cover in its housing (press it in with your hands until the tabs are fully secured). Test the light's proper functioning before reinstalling the piece.
