How to Reset the Maintenance Light on a BMW 218

If you notice a strange light on the dashboard display when you start the car, it does not necessarily indicate a serious engine problem. In the case of the maintenance light, it is simply a warning that signals to the driver the need for routine maintenance of the vehicle. If you wish to postpone this operation or simply remove the light, follow these instructions. Turn on the ignition and then press and hold the button located below the speedometer for a few seconds. Once the service menu appears on the display, you can release it. Repeat the same operation until you are asked if you want to confirm the reset. To do this, press and hold the same button for a few seconds. Finally, turn off the ignition.
