How to Unlock the Transmission on a 2016 BMW X3?

On vehicles with automatic transmission, it often happens that it gets stuck in the P (Park) position, and the BMW X3 is no exception. In emergency situations, you can unlock the automatic transmission yourself without calling roadside assistance or a mechanic. Just get under the car and remove the 8mm bolts holding the panel. Once removed, access the 5mm hex screw that you need to tighten to shift the transmission to the N position and loosen it to restore the P (Park) position. Remember to reposition the panel after completing the operation.
