Removing the Car Dashboard

Model: BMW Serie 3 E36 - Years 1990-2001
Part: Dashboard

Removing the central dashboard panel is not very difficult if you have good manual skills and patience. Once you have removed the car radio in front of you, the cigarette lighter, and the knobs that control the air by pulling towards yourself, without too much force as they are under pressure. After unscrewing the screw, the central plastic piece will be freed and should be removed carefully, paying attention to the two tabs that hold it in place. Gently pull the panel towards yourself to detach it, being careful not to break the plastic clips that support the springs. The dashboard will then be completely removed.
