In this video, you can see how to reset the TPMS light on the BMW 3 Series E46 (including the M3): insert the key into the ignition without starting the engine. The TPMS button is located near the steering wheel; it is a round button with a tire icon. Press and hold it for five seconds until the light turns off. To verify, turn off the ignition and turn it back on. If the tire pressure is correct, the TPMS light will not turn back on. If the light remains on, you will need to perform checks, such as verifying the tire pressure according to the manufacturer's label, checking for any leaks. It is rare, but the issue could also be the TPMS button, or the problem could be with the ABS, since the E46 does not have sensors but monitors the system through the ABS.
