In this video, we will see how to reset the brake pads warning light on a BMW 3 Series E46 version: after replacing the brake pads, we still have the warning light indicating the problem, so we need to reset it. We turn on the ignition, without starting the engine. We just have to wait, because the car will automatically perform a check (it will take about a minute or at most two) and will find that the brake pads have been changed, and the warning light will turn off on its own. The important thing is not to get in the car and drive off quickly, otherwise the warning light will never turn off. We need to turn on the ignition and wait a few minutes for the onboard computer to perform its checks.
