How do you replace the rear brake pads of the BMW 3 Series?

In order to replace the rear brake pads of the BMW 3 Series, first you will need to lift the car to ensure that the corresponding wheel is removed from its hub: once the wheel has been removed, it will be possible to locate the screws that secure the corresponding brake caliper to loosen them and detach the caliper in question. At this point, it will be possible to remove the pin that holds the pads to remove them and replace them with new ones: once these are inserted, the caliper can be reattached and the wheel can be reinserted.
