How to Replace the Front Brake Pads on a BMW F30

This tutorial shows how to replace the front brake pads on a BMW F30. The initial step is to remove the caliper pin and then the bolts using a 8mm hex wrench. At this point, use a flat screwdriver to pry the pad to free the brake caliper for removal. Now, detach the pad from the piston, but remember to disconnect the sensor first, which will be on the driver's side. Next, clean the bracket; using an old pad as a support and appropriate tools, push the piston back to the seal, and then fit the sensor into the inner side of the pad. Use copper grease to lubricate the indicated points in the photo, and then position the new pads, first the inner one and then the outer one. Now, place the caliper back on the bracket, tighten the bolts, replace the caps, and reinstall the caliper pin. Finally, connect the sensor cable to the connector. Remember that before starting the car, it is advisable to press the brake a couple of times and reset the pad interval.
