To reset the brake light on a BMW 3 Series E46 - after completing the required services - get in the vehicle, close all four doors, and turn on the instrument cluster without starting the engine. In fact, there is not much to do because you just need to wait about twenty seconds for the light to turn off by itself. The sensors detect the difference in thickness of the brake pads, and no further action is needed. This further demonstrates that the required services must be genuinely performed, and you should not just reset the light or even disconnect the sensor to prevent the light from coming on.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?
