In this tutorial, you will see how to reset the brake light on a BMW 320 E46 by following simple steps that will guide you in properly managing your vehicle. On BMW vehicles, the brake wear light may remain on after replacing the brake pads.

First, perform brake maintenance; if the brake wear light is on, ensure you have replaced the wear indicators correctly (even if they appear in good condition), installing the right one on the right side and the left one on the left side. Next, follow this procedure: repeatedly press the brake pedal firmly to ensure the pads adhere well.

Check that the brake fluid is at the maximum level. Start the engine with the vehicle stationary for at least thirty seconds.
