How to Reset the Service Light on a BMW 3 Series

To reset the service light on a BMW 3 Series, start by turning on the car and waiting for the navigation display to be ready. Go to the main menu using the mouse in the center console, then navigate to vehicle information; press the OK button. Go to vehicle status by pressing the OK button; scroll down to "service required" and press the OK button. Enter the vehicle inspection and press the OK button; find the date for the service, press the OK button to change the date (first the month, then the year for the next service from 07/2019 to 04/2020) and confirm by pressing the OK button. Finally, you can return to the main menu of the navigation display.
