How to Reset the Service Light on a BMW 3 Series

Have you replaced the engine oil and filter yourself on this car model? In the description below, we summarize the steps to complete the job by resetting the service light. First, enter the cabin and sit in the driver's seat. Turn on the ignition (you do not need to start the engine). When the instrument cluster display lights up, use the oil service light (instrument cluster display). Use the button next to the instrument cluster (on the left). Press and hold this button for a few seconds until the maintenance message appears. Then press the menu button and scroll through the functions until you select the reset option. Press and hold this button located on the end of the left lever until the reset is complete.
