Replacing the Rear Hood Gas Strut

If the rear hood does not stay up on its own when opened, it means the support strut has failed; replacing it is very simple and the replacement part is easy to find: specify the length of the strut and the type of attachment. To replace it, start by removing the retaining ring that secures the upper eyelet to the pin on the side of the hood; then remove the clip that secures the ball joint to the body edge and complete the disassembly of the old strut. Proceed in reverse for the installation of the new one by securing the lower clip and the upper retaining ring.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level.
