How to Replace the Low Beam Bulb on a BMW 3 Series

Model: BMW Serie 3 E91, E90, E92 - Years 2005-2013

To replace the low beam bulb on a BMW 3 Series, remove the front wheel on the side of the headlight to be changed. Unscrew the 9 bolts that hold the rear wheel well to the headlight and take it off. Next, unscrew the 5 bolts that hold the rear cover of the bulb, disconnect the tabs (the left tab to the right and the right tab to the left), remove the burnt-out bulb, and disconnect the connector. After removing the burnt-out bulb, take the new bulb and position it with the connector base facing down in the headlight. Snap the tabs behind the bulb in the reverse order of disassembly, connect the connector, get in the car, turn on the ignition, and turn on the headlights to check the bulb's proper operation. Then, reinstall the cover behind the headlight by screwing in the bolts, reinstall the wheel well by screwing in the bolts, and put the wheel back on.
