How to Replace the Cabin Fan Resistor on the BMW X3

Model: BMW X3 MK 1, E83 - Years 2003-2010

Follow these steps to remove and replace the cabin fan resistor on the BMW X3. First, get inside the vehicle on the passenger side and remove the glove compartment by unscrewing the mounting screws and disconnecting the electrical wiring. Next, unscrew the screws of the cabin fan to access the fan resistor, as shown in the video. At this point, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the resistor, replacing it with the new one. Reconnect it and test the fan speed operation!
