Replacing Car Shock Absorbers

Model: BMW Serie 5 E60, E61 - Years 2003-2010

If your car has high mileage, it is necessary to replace the shock absorbers. They can be easily found at any auto parts store. The replacement process is quite complex, but it can be done independently without needing to go to a trusted mechanic, allowing you to save a significant amount of money. You will need a compressor, or alternatively, a pneumatic gun; a spring compressor; and finally, a jack. First, loosen the bolts, then take the jack, position it correctly, and begin to lift your car on the left side. At this point, you can completely unscrew the bolts and remove the wheel. Next, open the hood and remove all the screws you find above the shock absorber mount. Then, remove the two screws on the spindle and the one located on the stabilizer that runs parallel to the affected shock absorber. Now you will notice that the shock absorber will come out very easily.
