Replacing your car's tire is a basic task that everyone with a driver's license and a car should be able to perform, especially when far from home, as anyone can get a flat. The following guide provides practical advice on how to proceed.

Safety is of utmost importance. Therefore, if you experience a flat tire, turn on your hazard lights and pull over as soon as possible to a safe area.

Before replacing the tire, place a reflective triangle so that your vehicle is visible from at least 500 feet and near any curves. Before lifting the car with the jack, loosen the lug nuts or remove them completely using a wrench.

After removing the four lug nuts and lifting the car, you can proceed to remove the flat tire.
