Installation of the Strut Bar

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003

Sports cars often come equipped with a sway bar that connects the suspension at the bottom of the vehicle, as well as a strut bar that connects the shock absorber mounting points. Install two brackets on the shock absorber mounting points: remove the nuts from the bolts on the top of the shock absorbers and place the brackets between these and the car body. Be careful, the battery ground cable is attached to one of the shock absorber bolts, so it needs to be repositioned on the same bolt, between the bracket and the nut; it is advisable to perform these operations with the car battery disconnected. The brackets have transverse flanges with holes, and the bar should be inserted between these flanges, with its ends equipped with hollow cylinders that correspond to the holes in the brackets. Finally, insert them into the holes of the bolts equipped with a locking nut and anti-loosening washer to secure the bar.
