Replacement of Gearbox Oil and Complete Maintenance

Model: BMW Serie 1 MK 1, E87, E82, E81 - Years 2004-2013

For issues with gear engagement, especially third gear, replace the oil in the gearbox and flush it. Lift the vehicle on a ramp. Add the flushing additive and, after starting the vehicle, engage all gears to distribute the additive throughout the internal parts of the gearbox. Add the appropriate oil for the replacement. Drain the oil from the gearbox sump. After all the oil has drained, remove the sump and replace it with a new one, as the oil filter is attached to it. Residual metal particles may be noted on the magnets in the drained oil. After flushing, refill the gearbox with the correct quantity of the appropriate oil using the suitable equipment. Clean the inside of the converter with the same machine until perfect cleanliness is achieved. Replace the automatic gearbox oil only with products approved by the gearbox manufacturer. Conduct a road test to check if the issues related to the automatic gearbox have been resolved.
