How to Replace the Battery on a Buick Encore GX

If you plan to replace the battery on this vehicle yourself, you can find the instructions in this description and also use the images from the video. First, open the hood, and grab a socket wrench to disconnect the negative terminal first, followed by the positive terminal of the battery located on the left side of the compartment. Next, remove the screws at the base of the battery hold-down bracket. This will allow you to pull out the battery and replace it with the new one. Reinstall the lower hold-down screws, and then reconnect the positive terminal first, followed by the negative terminal.
