How to Replace the Battery on a Cadillac CT5

On the Cadillac CT5, the doors are electronic, so they do not open with a dead battery. You must open a side panel to insert the key and unlock the trunk to fold down the rear seats. Now, remove the side panel of the trunk, unscrew the two Torx 30 screws on the sides (there are also 4 snap clips). Disconnect the negative terminal and remove the mounting brackets: the upper one is easily visible, for the lower one you will need to access it with an extension. You can remove the AGM battery and replace it with another AGM. The positive terminal connector must be removed from the old battery and installed on the new one, as well as the vent tube.
