To correctly replace the button battery inside the remote of your Chevrolet Silverado second generation (model years 2007-2014), follow these simple steps. First, get a flathead screwdriver, preferably medium or small-sized.

Insert it into the bottom of the remote cover and remove the back cover. Once you have access to the old, dead battery, remove it and replace it with a new CR2032 button battery rated at 3 Volts.
