How to Repair the Engine Cover of the Citroen Xsara Picasso

Let’s see how to repair the engine cover of a Citroen Xsara Picasso: first, clean the area of the cover where the broken fastening element is located, degreasing it with cleaning alcohol. Obtain a small metal bracket with a hole (you can also make one from a piece of thin sheet metal). You will need to attach this bracket to the plastic cover. If possible, use a small self-tapping screw to secure the bracket; if the plastic is too thin, you can use a structural adhesive (like a two-component epoxy adhesive, which is stronger than cyanoacrylate) to bond the bracket. Once it is securely fixed, use it to reattach the cover to its housing. This way, the engine vibrations will be absorbed by the bracket and not by the adhesive.
