The failure of the glove compartment lock on this model is a common issue: the plastic pins that hold it in place often break, along with the return springs of the handle. A permanent repair can be made by inserting a screw in place of the pin, but this requires removing the glove compartment from its housing and taking off the trim panel that houses the lock.

To do this, gently pry off the panel, drill a pilot hole where the pin was located, then insert the spring and a screw; finally, reattach the panel.

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins. Once unlocked, tilt the seat upwards and forwards to remove it from its position. Repeat this process for both sides of the rear seat.
