How to Repair the Glove Compartment Lock on a Citroen C3

The failure of the glove compartment lock on this model is a common issue: the plastic pins that hold it in place often break, along with the return springs of the handle. A permanent repair can be made by inserting a screw in place of the pin, but this requires removing the glove compartment from its housing and taking off the trim panel that houses the lock. To do this, gently pry off the panel, drill a pilot hole where the pin was located, then insert the spring and a screw; finally, reattach the panel.
