Resetting the Dacia Sandero III "Check SOS Call" Unit After Disconnecting the Battery

The video indicates that after disconnecting the battery, the dashboard displays "Check SOS Call" and the orange light remains on. The unit has an internal lithium backup battery: when the 12V is disconnected, the module switches to the internal battery, but upon reconnecting the 12V, the system does not reset automatically and remains in error state. One method is to turn off the car and leave it overnight in the garage: the unit goes into "deep sleep" and resets. Another method is to turn on the ignition, wait 2 minutes, turn off, open and close the driver's door, lock and unlock with the remote. Repeat the entire sequence 3 to 4 times. If these "soft" methods do not work, then you need to use a diagnostic tool (Renault/Dacia, CanClip, Multiecuscan). Locate the fuse box and find the "TEL" or "SOS" or "eCall" fuse. Remove it for 10 minutes and then reinsert it.
