Oil and Filter Change for the Dacia Sandero III

Model: Dacia Sandero MK 3 - Years 2021-2026
Part: Engine oil

Video tutorial
Detailed instructions - On the Dacia Sandero III (from 2021), the oil change interval is 15,000 miles or 1 year for the 1.0 SCe and 1.0 TCe petrol engines, while for the ECO-G bi-fuel (petrol/LPG) it extends to 30,000 miles or 2 years, thanks to the cleaner LPG. If predominantly using petrol, do not exceed 15,000 miles. For the 1.0 TCe engine, the recommended oil is a 5W-30 with Renault RN17 specification (ACEA C3), with a capacity of approximately 4.1-4.5 litres. For the 1.0 SCe, the specification may vary (5W-40 ACEA A3/B4). Warm the engine slightly to thin the oil. Turn off, open the bonnet, and unscrew the filler cap. Lift the car and secure it on jack stands. Place a container under the oil drain plug and unscrew it. Allow the old oil to drain completely. Unscrew the oil filter and replace it with a new one, lubricating the seal. Refit the drain plug with a new washer. Pour in the new oil (approximately 4-4.5 litres), check the level with the dipstick, and top up to the maximum. Start the engine for 30 seconds, turn off, wait, and recheck the level. Finally, reset the service light from the dashboard menu.
