How to Change the Liquid Phase LPG Filter on a Dacia Duster

On a 2024 Dacia Duster, the liquid phase LPG filter is not mounted directly on the pressure regulator (which is located under the air filter box), but is positioned near the copper pipes. To access it, remove the heat shield by unscrewing some plastic nuts and an additional nut. Once removed, you will see the filter housing: three bolts hold the cover that provides access to the filter.

Before unscrewing, be careful: a bit of LPG will escape from the housing (this is the gas remaining in the pipes). If the engine is off, the solenoid valve should stop the flow from the tank.

As a safer alternative, you can close the supply from the tank, start the engine in LPG mode until the gas in the line runs out and the engine automatically switches to petrol. Unscrew the three bolts, being careful not to lose the washers.

Remove the cover and the old filter. You can find the new one on eBay with code 276757392819 for £12.00 with free delivery.

Be careful: there are two O-rings to replace, one smaller and one larger. For reassembly: first insert the small O-ring, then the filter, then the large O-ring, and finally the cover with the three bolts.

As a final check, start the engine in LPG mode and check for any leaks. Finally, reassemble the heat shield with the plastic nuts.
