Where to Find the Legal Frame Number (VIN) of the Dacia Duster

If you are stopped by the police for a cross-check with the registration documents, meaning they need to check if the frame number on the document matches that of the vehicle, you should know that the frame number is not the one on the plate on the driver's side windscreen: that is just a courtesy plate used by dealers for the movement of new vehicles. The legal frame number (the location of which you are required to know) must be stamped on the vehicle's chassis and is located in different places for each vehicle/version. In the case of the Dacia Duster, to find it, lift the bonnet of the vehicle: looking at the vehicle from the front, on the left you will find the large triangular junction of the chassis, where the stamping is located.
