Operation: How to replace the Daihatsu Sirion timing belt?

In order to replace the Daihatsu Sirion timing belt, you need to open the hood, so that you can access the left side of the engine block. Here you will find the pulleys around which the belt is arranged: by unscrewing the central pins, it will be possible to remove these pulleys and consequently reduce the tension of the belt. At this point, the piece can be completely removed, so that a new one can be inserted. Once the new belt is in place, you will be able to screw the center pins of the pulleys back on and check that the belt is working properly.

First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again!
