In this detailed video, learn how to remove and replace the timing belt and tensioner on a Fiat Punto. Use a socket to remove the water pump located in the engine bay, then use a spanner to loosen the tensioner and slide the belt off its seat. With a socket, unscrew the tensioner bolt and remove it from the engine bay. Install the new tensioner and belt, tightening everything with the spanner. Finally, refit the securing bolts of the splash guard and reattach the wheel with the tyre to the vehicle.

Remove the plastic cover on the soundproofing panel covering the engine (if present), then remove the pins on the coil bar using a screwdriver.
