How to Replace the Timing Belt on a Fiat Punto 1.2

Model: Fiat Punto MK 2, 188 - Years 1999-2011

Before starting, raise the front of your Fiat Punto 1.2. Begin by removing the right front wheel. Next, detach and move the inner wheel arch by unscrewing the fastening screws and unclipping the clips. Once done, remove the left engine mount and the timing belt cover by unscrewing the respective bolts. This will give you access to the timing belt. Proceed to loosen the tensioners of the auxiliary belt and the timing belt. At this point, remove both belts to complete the disassembly. To install the new timing belt and reassemble everything, follow these steps in reverse, and you will have completed the replacement.
