How to Remove the Gear Gaiter on a Fiat Punto

Do you want to replace the leather gaiter located under the gear knob of your Fiat Punto? Follow these steps. Remove the plastic cover above the centre tunnel using a screwdriver, then pull the leather gaiter off the rod that holds the knob (detach the leather strap around the knob). To reassemble: slide the gaiter onto the rod on the centre tunnel (secure the strap to the knob), then attach the gaiter frame over the centre tunnel. Finally, check the correct installation of the previously mounted part.
