How to Replace the Gear Gaiter on a Fiat Grande Punto?

To replace the gear gaiter on a Fiat Grande Punto, first remove the gear knob located at the top of the lever. Grip the knob and turn it counter-clockwise to free it from the thread holding it to the lever. Once the knob is removed, detach the retaining clips located at the base of the leather gaiter; at this point, it can be lifted and extracted from the top. After removal, you can replace the parts by installing new replacement pieces.
