To begin with: remove the plastic plate on the knob with a screwdriver, then unscrew with a socket wrench or fix the gear knob (Allen key). We remove the leather boot from the edge of the central tunnel with a plastic lever. To carry out the assembly: we grab the cap and insert it into the rod on the central tunnel, then, insert the new knob and screw it with the key. Finally we hook the plastic plate on the gear knob.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes.
