Replacing the gear knob of the Fiat 500 is a simple and quick operation that can be done independently. To carry out this simple operation, we will need a small Allen key. We get inside the car and unscrew the small nut located at the back of the gear knob. Once the locking nut is removed, we pull the knob off the gear mechanism. We insert the new knob onto the mechanism and tighten the locking nut. We turn on the instrument panel and the car's engine to test the operation of the gearbox by engaging the various gears. The gear knob can be purchased at auto parts stores or online for a cost of €20.00.
