Let's see how to change the number plate light on a Fiat 500; you will need a small flat-head screwdriver (a plastic tool is better). The lamp holder is located above the number plate: use the screwdriver to gently pry on the side of the lamp holder (the video mentions "clips to release on both sides"). Remove the old light assembly (not just the bulb, but the entire plastic piece).

Insert the new light assembly (available on Amazon with code B09951TYHM for £18.90 for the pair, with free delivery) until it clicks into place. On this model, you cannot change the single bulb; the entire module must be replaced.
