How to Change the Engine Air Filter in a Fiat 500L

To change the engine air filter in a Fiat 500L, open the bonnet and locate the filter box in the engine compartment. Disconnect, if necessary, the hoses or connectors attached to the cover, then unscrew the fixing screws using a 7 mm socket. Lift the cover of the box and remove the old filter from its seat. Clean the inside of the housing, removing any dust and dirt, then insert the new filter element in the correct position, ensuring it fits snugly against the edges of the seat. Reposition the cover, ensuring it is correctly seated, and tighten all the fixing screws. Finally, reconnect any hoses and connectors that were removed and close the bonnet. The arrangement may vary slightly depending on the engine type.
