How to Change the Brake Pads of a Fiat Punto

Here’s how to change the brake pads of a Fiat Punto. Lift the car on a column lift (jack) to the desired height, then remove the wheel (using a socket wrench) with the respective bolts. Unscrew the locking bolt of the brake caliper and remove it from the wheel hub. Use a screwdriver to detach the pads to be replaced from the wheel hub caliper, remove the brake caliper and subsequently the disc (if it needs changing). Install the new disc and the new pads onto the caliper; mount the brake caliper with the support onto the brake disc. Tighten all the bolts and reinstall the wheel.
