How to Resolve Battery Parasitic Drain on the Fiat Panda: the Blue & Me Module

The Fiat Panda (and many other models of this brand) suffers from a known fault with the Blue & Me module, which causes parasitic battery drain, intermittent flashing of the odometer, non-functioning USB or charging port, absent Bluetooth connectivity, and error code U1733-87 (missing message in the convergence telematics module).

The faulty module is located under the driver's seat.

The quick and free solution is to disconnect the module. The parasitic drain issue disappears, but you lose the Blue & Me functions, and the odometer continues to flash.

The second solution is to repair or replace the module: there are online companies specialising in repairs that allow you to retain all functions at a reasonable cost. Access the module by removing the two side covers under the driver's seat.

Disconnect the connector to eliminate the parasitic drain.

What does error code 59 indicate on the Opel Meriva B?
