How to Change the Mirror Cap on a Fiat 500

If you have a broken mirror, don’t worry about fitting the new part; let’s see how to remove the cap. Use a plastic lever to pry between the perimeter of the mirror frame and the mirror glass. Pry until the glass detaches from the mirror (disconnect the power cable); this is a very delicate operation as the mirror could break. Release the plastic clips to disconnect the mirror cap; replace the damaged cap with the new one. Be careful to ensure the plastic snap clips engage in the supports of the mirror during the fitting of the cap.
