Guide to Replacing the Diesel Filter

Changing the diesel filter is a task that takes only a few minutes. The purpose of the diesel filter is to trap impurities in the diesel and separate it from traces of water, which allows for better performance and prolongs engine life. Once the front bonnet is open, locate the filter position, disconnect the fuel supply connector, and by lifting the filter upwards, detach the fuel pipes. After removing the safety ring, you can start to extract the filter cover to which the filter cartridge is connected, which will come off with a bit of pressure. The new filter should be connected in the same way, screwing in the safety ring and reconnecting the connector in its original position. The guide shows that before starting the car, it is good practice to turn the ignition on, which will activate the diesel pump to fill the filter.
