Restoration of Interrupted Heated Rear Screen Track

The heated rear screen is located at the back of the car. The following guide shows how to restore a broken connection that is used to demist the rear screen, drying the glass from the moisture that would otherwise obstruct visibility. First, locate the break in the track. Open the tailgate and work from the inside. Take some paper and soak it with an electrical contact cleaner, then degrease the section of the track where you will apply the paint containing small traces of silver to make it conductive. Shake the paint bottle, dip the brush, and apply it.

If the central locking system of the Volkswagen Golf 4 is not working, it is likely necessary to reset the system: to do this, open the driver's door and detach the side panel of the dashboard next to the steering wheel.
