Replacing Bulbs and Removing the Third Brake Light

If you need to remove the third brake light, either to change it or simply to replace any blown bulbs, this is a very simple task even for the less experienced. For safety, you can first disconnect the battery. Then, once the boot is open, unscrew the two screws and disconnect the electrical connector with the help of a screwdriver. At this point, the third brake light is detached from the rear window. Now, if you wish, you can continue to unscrew the other two screws to further remove the support or you can disconnect the bulb holder strip and replace any bulbs. Take this opportunity to check for any water ingress around the washer nozzle.
