Fiat 500 - Video tutorial

Model: Fiat 500 312 - Years 2007-2021
Part: Window motor
Operation: How to replace the Fiat 500 window regulator

To repair the right window lift on the Fiat 500, let's start by removing the door panel by unscrewing the various screws (both on the panel, both at the bottom of the panel and in the handle); removed the panel, we move the layer of sound-absorbing, we hold the window in the raised position with adhesive tape, we lower the mechanism by removing the glass from the internal clip, we disconnect the connector of the motor, with a 10mm socket wrench remove the 3 nuts that hold the window lifter mechanism and remove the mechanism. Now let's take the new mechanism, put the window lifter motor on the new mechanism by screwing the 2 screws, insert the window lifter mechanism in the door (paying attention to the glass) positioning it and screwing the 3 10mm nuts starting from the upper one; we connect the connector of the window lifter motor, raise the mechanism until the clip hooks to the glass; hooked the clip, remove the adhesive tape from the glass and check if the glass rises and falls. Finally we can place the soundproofing layer and reassemble the door panel by screwing the screws.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
