To adjust the handbrake on a Fiat Panda, loosen a 10 mm bolt that secures the entire plastic cover along the central tunnel. This will allow access to the handbrake cables located just beneath the cover of the central tunnel and behind the handbrake lever itself. By tightening the bolts, you can increase or decrease the tension of the cables: increasing the tension will make the handbrake feel firmer. Conversely, reducing the tension by loosening the bolt will make the handbrake feel softer and have a wider travel.
