Replace the Brake Pedal Switch on Fiat 500

This video tutorial shows how to replace the brake pedal switch. The brake switch sends a signal to the ECU to activate the brake lights when braking; it is activated by pressing the brake pedal. If the switch is not functioning, you will need to replace it; therefore, purchase a new switch from an authorised dealer. First, enter the vehicle and secure the car with the handbrake engaged. Remove the plastic cover to access the switch; once reached, simply disconnect the connector attached to it and unscrew the screw that holds it in place. Proceed to install the new switch. Reassemble all parts in reverse order.
