Fiat Punto - Video tutorial

Model: Fiat Punto 188, MK 2 - Years 1999-2011
Part: Power Steering Motor
Operation: How to replace the power steering motor on the Fiat Punto 188

The defectiveness of the electric power steering, better recognized as city, of the Fiat Punto 188 is a well-known problem but at the same time it is easy to find spare parts and instructions for do-it-yourself repairs; the most common problem concerns the power steering motor and in particular the relays that control its piloting; therefore once a new or overhauled motor has been recovered, the replacement can be done without having to disassemble the steering column: it will be sufficient to remove the hatch on the dashboard that gives access to the OBD socket and the shell under the column; at this point it is easy to access the three fixing pins of the motor and it will be necessary to disconnect the two sockets from the control unit to remove it completely; if the fault concerns the torque and position sensor, the entire steering column will have to be removed and the advice is to install a new and unused sensor.

How do I unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series?

In order to unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series, the Start / Stop button and the lever release button must be pressed at the same time. This procedure will allow the car gearbox to be unlocked for about 15 minutes, so that in the event of an engine failure, the car can still be moved. It may be necessary to repeat the operation more than once for its success. After unlocking the gearbox, it can return to its original state by simply waiting for the aforementioned 15 minutes, or by pushing the release lever forward for a few seconds.
