Fiat Seicento - Video tutorial

Model: Fiat Seicento MK 1 - Years 1998-2010
Part: Outside rearview mirror
Operation: How to replace the wing mirror in a Fiat 600

In this video tutorial we can see how it is possible to replace the external rear view mirror in a Fiat 600 by following a few simple steps: the first thing to do is to buy a new mirror from an authorized car spare parts dealer. . Next step get into the car, turn off the car and apply the handbrake. Open the door, then using a screwdriver we have to unscrew the three fixing screws of the mirror (advice: when you get to the last screw, hold the mirror with one hand, because it could come out of its seat and fall to the ground). Once the fixing screws have been unscrewed, you have to be careful with the rubber pad because it hardens over time and could break; now we have to disassemble the panel, so we have to take it from one side and pull it forward and once we get there, when we see that it doesn't go forward, we have to turn it and remove it using a little force. Once we have also removed the panel, we see that there is a protective sponge inside (if it has detached from the sheet metal, we must keep it aside). Remove the mirror and replace it with the new one, then reassemble all the parts by proceeding in reverse order.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
