If the oil cap doesn't unscrew, there could be various causes: in addition to excessive tightening, there may be spacers on the thread that prevent normal sliding, such as sealing tape or worse, thread locker, unfortunately applied by whoever performed the last intervention. The easiest way is to use a lever (a metal pipe) to apply to the key to multiply the force, but great care must be taken not to damage the edges of the cap head: once the corners are rounded, even the most professional of keys will not be able to get the necessary grip. For this reason, it would be best to use high-quality keys: polygonal, hexagonal socket or hexagonal ring keys. Instead, avoid forked keys or worse, adjustable keys with movable jaws.

How do I unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series?

In order to unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series, the Start / Stop button and the lever release button must be pressed at the same time. This procedure will allow the car gearbox to be unlocked for about 15 minutes, so that in the event of an engine failure, the car can still be moved. It may be necessary to repeat the operation more than once for its success. After unlocking the gearbox, it can return to its original state by simply waiting for the aforementioned 15 minutes, or by pushing the release lever forward for a few seconds.
